Learn the basics of these two mediums in one class. Students will learn the difference between the two and get the opportunity to experiment with both while painting still lives, and plein air, as well as experimenting with different drawing tools.

We will explore watercolor through various methods using color, composition, styles and washes within the medium. Kirsten will explain the basics of how to start with oil paints and their mediums. Students will work with color charts and explore oil painting on paper, canvas and board. There will also be a loose study of the Masters.

The goal of this class is to introduce students to these completely different mediums so they can then go on to choose which to explore further.
