Our Conversations with the Author series continues with Bob Chilton, author/photographer of The Lightness of Darkness. In keeping with his competitive nature and spirit, Bob Chilton captures a wide range of images from still life to competitive sports. Combining his artistic eye and digital technology, Chilton creates images that capture the viewer’s attention. Chilton is known for his croquet and sailing images in which he captures the human competitive spirit from a different viewpoint that others most often miss. His art photography reflects his passion for travel and competitive sports. Chilton is constantly searching for the next best image. In his newer work, Chilton pushes the artistic boundaries between art and technology using the photo images as a starting point and then creating a unique art piece derived from the images.

Tickets are $20 (cash or check only please) and are on sale now. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event. A book signing and reception will follow Mr. Chilton’s lecture.
