In this biographical drama film set at the start of the Cold War, subversive Chilean senator and poet Pablo Neruda is pursued by police prefect Oscar Peluchonneau. Unable to flee the country, Neruda goes into hiding and becomes a symbol of liberty at home and in Europe. Neruda was screened in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

OLA’s Latino Film Festival is now going into its 14th year. Partnering with the Parrish Art Museum for the last nine years, OLA’s Latino Film Festival continues to choose films from around the globe that challenge, engage and entertain both Spanish and English-speaking audiences. Most of OLA’s festivals have also featured music, dancing, food, and wine from Latino/Hispanic countries. Cultural bridges are strengthened through this shared experience.

Advance registration encouraged.
