A Conversation with 2G Holocaust Survivor, Dr. Bernie Furshpan

Join Dr. Bernie Furshpan to explore the conversations of the second generation of Holocaust survivors at the Great Neck Library, 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck, on Wednesday, April 30, at 6 p.m.
Dr. Bernie Furshpan was born in Israel in 1957, a twin to two holocaust survivors. His family emigrated to the USA in 1963, where they settled in Brooklyn. Bernie attended James Madison HS and went on to Stony Brook University and NY Chiropractic College in Old Westbury in the late 1970s. He practiced for 30 years until he retired from his practice to run a marketing consultancy and jazz club in NYC. Bernie will speak about the harrowing story of how his father, the only survivor in his family of eight, managed to live through the holocaust from age 10 and build a life and family in Israel and in the US.
