Amber Waves Community Tomato Sauce Making and Gleaning

Location: Under the magnolias in the back of the fields.

Come enjoy a fully immersive farm cooking experience with us at Amber Waves! We will start by taking a short tour of the farm and harvest and glean tomatoes in the fields together. Gleaning is the practice of harvesting anything that is in excess or is going to go to waste otherwise. By helping us glean tomatoes and make a sauce together you are helping to contribute to a more sustainable world. After harvesting and gleaning, we will come back to watch a demonstration of how to make a fresh tomato sauce and end by tasting the sauce with Amber Waves whole wheat pasta. Class will include hands-on activities and a tasting. Perfect for beginners but fun for all.
