Classic Movie: Lilies of the Field (1963)

This sentimental and uplifting film tells the story of a traveling handyman who answers the prayers of a group of nuns by helping them build a chapel in the desert. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. And it made history when its star, Sidney Poitier became the first Black actor to win an Academy Award for Best Male Actor.
