EE Library Event: The High Cost of Fast Fashion

Join us for an East End Library event hosted by Westhampton Free Library
Fashion is responsible for 10 percent of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions and 20 percent of global wastewater, and uses 93 billion metric tons of clean water each year — about half of what Americans drink annually. Fast fashion consumes more energy than the aviation and shipping sectors combined. Mitch Ratcliffe of Earth911 discusses the environmental impact of fashion and what we can do about it. Some of the answers may surprise you.
A Zoom link will be emailed to all participants on the day of the event.
