Steven Spielberg’s 1975 blockbuster Jaws, based on the novel by Peter Benchley, is considered one of the greatest films ever made.  Its release was a watershed moment in motion picture history, becoming the first real summer blockbuster.  However, the film is also a cinematic masterpiece.
