
Hallockville Museum Farm to Host “Carrie’s Letters,” a Presentation About Life on the East End from 1880-1910

On Sunday, March 30, Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead will host a special Women’s History Month presentation about the life of an East End farm wife and mother between the years of 1880 and 1910. Author Debby Warner Anderson will explain how the discovery of a shoebox of letters written by her great grandmother Carrie Warner of Baiting Hollow launched Debby on a journey through local history, family genealogy and a woman’s life on Long Island around the turn of the 19th century. Hear the story about Carrie’s Letters on Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Hallockville Museum Farm, 6038 Sound Ave., Riverhead. Admission is free, but reservations are required.
