Influences: Art Exhibition

The show poses an interesting question for viewers: to what extent can you see a teacher’s influence in their students’ work?
Diane Alec Smith was briefly a student of the late Jacqueline Penney whose work you may be familiar with. This show has some of Jackie’s less typical paintings which may surprise you. In addition, several of Diane’s more advanced students have submitted examples of their work which may have similarities with either or both of the other artists’ work. Detecting this will be your job. All of the work is available for purchase.
The exhibition runs daily through the end of January and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
