Knowledge Friday with Hamptons Art Network (HAN)

Hamptons Art Network, or ‘HAN,’ is a consortium co-founded by Andrea Grover, Terrie Sultan, and Elka Rifkin in 2016, consisting of leaders from the East End’s beloved cultural not-for-profit organizations spanning from Duck Creek in the east to the Westhampton Performing Art Center in the west and everyone in between! HAN meets monthly, joining forces to create a unified arts community that supports and encourages collaboration and advances culture on the East End. Join us for our largest Knowledge Friday yet to learn the history of HAN and hear from its many members about their organizations. Come ask questions directly to our many cultural leaders in the Q&A, as the group is eager to hear directly from the community it serves.

As opposed to our usual 1-2 featured Knowledge Friday speakers, this program will feature 19 of the 23 HAN leaders will be present including: Anne Chaisson – Executive Director of Hamptons International Film Festival; Jeremy Dennis – Lead Artist of Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio; Jess Frost – Executive Director & Co–Founder of Arts Center at Duck Creek; Andrea Grover – Executive Director of Guild Hall; Helen Harrison – Director Emerita of Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center; Elise Herget – Managing Director of The Watermill Center; Jacqui Lofaro – Executive Director of Hamptons Doc Fest; Steve Long – Executive Director of East Hampton Historical Society; Kristen Lonnie – Executive Director of Southampton Cultural Center; Tracy A. Mitchell – Executive Director of Bay Street Theater; Sheri Pasquarella – Executive Director of The Church; Julienne Penza-Boon – Executive Director of Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center; Monica Ramirez-Montagut – Executive Director of Parrish Art Museum; Carrie Rebora Barratt – Director of LongHouse Reserve; Elka Rifkin – Founding Member of HAN & Former Director of The Watermill Center; Alegandro Saralegui – Executive Director of Madoo; Christina Strassfield – Executive Director of Southampton Arts Center; Genevieve Villaflor – Executive Director of Sag Harbor Cinema. Unable to participate in person, Brenda Simmons – Executive Director of Southampton African American Museum, has prepared a statement that will be read on her behalf.

Knowledge Fridays, held the first Friday of each month, highlight outstanding East End locals with various backgrounds and careers. The program allows the audience to meet and learn about dynamic, inspiring, and fascinating East Enders. It is a monthly program open to the public and free to our members.
