LongHouse Presents – Ravel, Bach, Chopin, and More on Piano

Virtuoso pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner returns to LongHouse Reserve for an open-air performance titled Fantasies and Daydreaming, set against the backdrop of the iconic Fly’s Eye Dome. The program offers a journey through imagination and memory, with selections by Ravel, Bach, Chopin, Gershwin, Meredith Monk, and Gottschalk. From the rhythmic vitality of Gershwin’s Preludes to the introspective calm of Chopin’s Nocturne, the afternoon promises moments of reverie and brilliance in equal measure.
A recent First Prize Winner of the 2022 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, Sanchez-Werner has appeared on major international stages including the Louvre, Royal Concertgebouw, and the CultureSummit in Abu Dhabi. A Gilmore Young Artist and graduate of Juilliard and Yale, his work has been recognized both for technical mastery and for its social impact, with honors from NPR, PBS, and the Atlantic Council.
