LongHouse Reserve – Grounded Conversations

LongHouse launches Grounded Conversations, a new series in collaboration with Edwina von Gal and Perfect Earth Project, with an evening of reflection, dialogue, and shared community. The inaugural program brings together Krista Tippett, Peabody Award–winning host of On Being, and journalist and climate advocate Biddle Duke. The evening includes a public conversation, reception, and an intimate dinner for a limited group of guests, where participants will explore Tippett’s guiding questions on meaning, hope, and human connection.

Tippett, known for her decades of work on the moral and spiritual dimensions of public life, offers a grounded view of hope shaped by the cycles of nature and the complexity of our current moment. Duke, with a career in journalism and environmental advocacy, brings a complementary perspective rooted in storytelling, place, and community engagement. Together, their conversation will invite reflection on how we live with awareness and purpose in a time of profound change.
