LongHouse Talks: Kevin Wiecks on Telling Stories with Trees

Join us for a presentation by Kevin Wiecks, Director of Bayard Cutting Arboretum, as he shares insights from his career in public horticulture and explores the role of thoughtful plant selection in shaping impactful public landscapes. With experience at institutions including The Cloisters, Long House Reserve, and Randall’s Island, Kevin brings a wide-ranging perspective grounded in hands-on work and academic expertise. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, serves on the Board of NY Hortus and the Long Island Gold Medal Plant Committee, and teaches Woody Plants at Farmingdale State College.
