Join us for an afternoon of classical mandolin music from the Baroque to the contemporary.  Featured composers will be Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Jiro Nakano, Raffaele Calace, Alison Stephens, Vittorio Monti, Florence Price, Béla Bartók, Juan Carlos Munoz, Amy Beach and Andrew Joseph.  Many classical music fans are unaware that Beethoven composed several works for the mandolin and piano. One of the highlights of the program will be a performance of Beethoven’s Andante con Variazioni in D Major, Wo0 44b, the most joyful piece from this collection. Mr. Joseph will be accompanied by Dr. Ann Zalkind on piano.  Registration required.

Presented by the Friends of the Rogers Memorial Library
