(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a compelling evening of true stories – with a twist – told by a brilliant line-up of storytellers. Performers in this show will tell a story about a true experience from their own life, on the theme CURVEBALL. They are:

Shoshana Rubin is an Emmy-Award winning producer and published author. When she is not working as an attorney she can be found writing, painting and practicing the ukulele.

Nina Lesiga is the host of the Bridgeport Art Trail Storytelling Exchange, sponsored by City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport, CT, has performed on PBS’s Stories from the Stage, Generation Women, The Artichoke Storytelling Series and (mostly) True Things.

Adam Grundfast is an attorney, educator, camp director, business development, customer experience, and non-profit professional who uses storytelling to connect with and impact people’s lives. He was a featured storyteller in Stories Untold at Sid Jacobson JCC in March 2024.

Wayne Robins is a longtime music journalist and critic. currently writing on a popular Substack. He was a rock music critic for the Village Voice and Newsday. He retired from teaching at St. John’s University in May 2024, and was named to the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2020

Ivy Eisenberg, an award-winning humor writer, Moth StorySLAM winning storyteller and comedian, whose work has appeared in New York Magazine, Tablet, Narratively, Next Avenue, Business Insider, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and more.

Jude Treder-Wolff, host/producer created (mostly) TRUE THINGS in 2014. She is also the host of the Improv In Real Life podcast, a Moth slam winner, and is featured on The Story Collider podcast, Story District in Washington, D.C. The Armando Diaz Experience at Magnet Theater in NYC, PBS Stories From The Stage, Funny Over 50 at West Side Comedy Club, Generation Women at Joe’s Pub, RISK! live show and podcast multiple times and many others. www.judetrederwolff.com

There is a game in the show as well. Some of the stories include subtle little lies. The audience gets to question the storytellers – who do not have to answer honestly, just to make the game even more fun – then votes for the person they think told it completely straight.
