New York Safe Boating Course (6/20 & 6/22)
This 8 hour course is an introduction to the basic principles of safe and responsible boating. Students successfully completing this course earn a safe boating certificate. Must be at least 10 years old to participate.
To help ensure New York’s waterways remain safe and enjoyable, this course teaches basic boating skills and encourages common sense and courtesy to all who share the water. Topics covered include rules of the nautical road, required safety equipment, special boating related activities and many more.
All registrants for this event must be 10 years of age by June 20, 2023.Student must be 10 years old at the start of the course. If you are 18 years of age or older, there is a $10.00 fee for your permanent boating safety certificate, payable to New York State Parks. This is in addition to any course fees paid directly to your instructor. NYS Parks does not collect a certificate fee for students under the age of 18, but there may be a course fee charged by the instructor.
Course held over 2 nights 6/20 Tues and 6/22 Thurs from 5 PM to 9 PM at The East Hampton Library
