
Planting Workshop

Description: Join us for our second garden learning lab that focuses on “Planting Your Seedlings”. This workshop will walk participants through the step by step process of planting seedlings into a garden space. We will address what tools might be helpful, how to properly amend the soil and ensure plants have plentiful nutrients to start their life, and some techniques for planting. Whether you started your own seedlings from seeds at home, went to our own “Seeding Your Garden” workshop, or are ready to start shopping for your seedlings locally or up at our market, this class will give you all the tips to ensure a great start to your summer garden. Bring any and all questions you might have!
- Activities:
- In-ground demo plant seedlings in pick your own fields
- Plant your own lettuce box to take home
- Learn about caring for your seedlings and your teenage plants
Date & Time: Friday, May 26th 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Cost: $60
Location: Meet in the outdoor classroom
Audience: Adults, geared towards beginners, but open to all!
What to Bring: A water bottle, closed toe shoes, a hat for sun protection
What to Except: We will provide all the supplies needed for the workshop, just bring yourself and be ready to learn. We suggest you where clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and closed-toe shoes.
