$450

Join us for an amazing workshop in the printmaking studio of the Prellwitz family, founded in 1911 as the North Fork’s Peconic Artist Colony. Work on prints and drawings of your own in the historic studio of Edith and Henry Prellwitz overlooking the blue waters of Peconic Bay. Learn new printmaking techniques, get new inspiration and enjoy the summer breeze in Peconic.

Explore an improvisational approach to printmaking with monotype – which are one-of-a-kind prints made with inks applied to the surface of a plate. Working with non-toxic soy-based Akua inks and plastic plates, learn how to mix, modify, and use the inks for layering with various viscosities, combined with wood cut, to create unique prints. The monotype process is well-suited for developing ideas as you work with the process, and as always, pulling prints off the press will be a wonderful surprise!

This 2-day workshop is suitable for artists with any degree of experience with printmaking.
BYOW (Bring your own woodcuts if you got em)  Delicious lunch included.
