Join us for an amazing workshop in the printmaking studio of the Prellwitz family, founded in 1911 as the North Fork’s Peconic Artist Colony. Work on prints and drawings of your own in the historic studio of Edith and Henry Prellwitz overlooking the blue waters of Peconic Bay. Learn new printmaking techniques, get new inspiration and enjoy the summer breeze in Peconic.

Master printmaker Lorena Salcedo-Watson will lead a full two day workshop in intaglio printing in a fully equipped studio overlooking the bay.

Explore dry-point intaglio printmaking techniques. This course will introduce intaglio printmaking techniques while working with a very user-friendly material for creating imagery. Students will become familiar with the process of developing their imagery on plates and operating an etching press.

The workshop will focus on nontoxic materials and printmaking techniques. Students will be working on acrylic plates with water-based inks and quality printmaking papers.

This 2-day workshop is suitable for artists with any degree of experience with printmaking.
