Secrets of the Heart Takes Aim at Romance
Sat, Feb 4 at 2:52 PM
Secrets of the Heart Film Festival, the only festival at war with romance, returns to NYC with short films from London, Israel, California (USC), Florida (Flagler), Manhattan, and Brooklyn on Saturday, February 11th and Tuesday, February 14th (Valentines Day) at Film Noir Cinema (122 Meserole Ave. Greenpoint, Brooklyn).
Few words have as much confused resonance as “love.” Translatable across the many languages and cultures of humanity, its pursuit is ubiquitous and often considered among our most noble endeavors. And yet the drives, dynamics, and textures of this heralded emotion are far from straightforward.
Secrets of the Heart will display original shorts about one of the more beguiling aspects of the human condition (love) in front of an audience in New York City, where the Secrets series of film festivals has found a niche among informed cinephiles for over a decade. This year’s festival includes selections from London, Israel, Canada, California (USC), Florida (Flagler), Arizona, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. The Secrets series is curated by Jeffrey Wengrofsky.
